  1. What is Tooth Decay?

It is the destruction of the structure of the tooth and can affect both the dentin layer and the enamel of the tooth. It can be a problem for adults, children, and teens. A sticky film of bacteria, called Plaque constantly forms on our teeth. When we drink or eat foods containing sugars, Plaque bacteria produce acid which attacks the outer covering of tooth (enamel). This acid can break down the coating of teeth and cause tooth decay.

By using the following cavity prevention tips, you can keep your gums, mouth, and teeth strong, beautiful, and healthy for a lifetime.

Second, fluoride in toothpaste promotes minerals, which helps in repairing early decay and makes the structure of tooth resistant to cavities. Third, the ingredient in toothpaste helps to remove stains and also helps to polish or clean the teeth. And lastly, toothpaste leaves our mouth with a clean feeling and freshen the breath.
