More than a million people will be diagnosed with cancer in 2017. To help meet the growing healthcare needs of the community, Baylor Scott & White Health is opening a cancer center and medical office building to provide personalized, integrated and comprehensive care in one location.
Located on the southwest side of Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Round Rock, the 100,000-square-foot, four-story facility will include a designated Cancer Center on the first floor which will offer medical oncology, radiation oncology, imaging, and a comprehensive breast center. The upper floors will include bone and joint services orthopedics, podiatry, physical therapy and pain medicine and neurology.
The new Baylor Scott & White Cancer Center Round Rock will offer enhanced cancer diagnostic and treatment services, cancer screening, diagnosis, treatment, and long-term monitoring in one location so Austin/Round Rock residents can continue to work, attend school, and maintain their daily activities while they receive comprehensive cancer care close to home.

From the time when an abnormality is discovered to when a patient receives pathology results is one of the most stressful times of a patients life. The sooner a patient knows what the abnormality is, the sooner they can find peace of mind or begin planning treatment, Dr. Watson said. Were nationally-recognized for cancer care as the first system in Texas that was accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. Baylor Scott & White Health provides patients with access to comprehensive cancer services throughout a large system including research trials and precision medicine. Baylor Scott & Whites recent collaboration with the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) has allowed the organization to form a large-scale research consortium, beginning with efforts to further personalize oncologydiagnose tumors sooner, then develop individualized treatment paths to increase the patients chance of survival.
