During a comprehensive evaluation, the physicians at Dialysis Access Center conduct a thorough review of the patients risk profile as well as their medical history and carefully consider the best treatment options for each individual. We take the time to thoroughly explain the procedure in a clear, understandable manner and we give priority to patient education in order to mitigate the unknown and reduce anxiety. As a team, our ultimate goal is to improve the patients quality of life, explains Dr. Misick.
Dr. Misick, along with the entire medical team, utilize modern, minimally invasive techniques to treat a variety of vascular conditions on an outpatient basis reducing recovery time and allowing patients to get back to their daily routines quickly. Medical services performed at the Dialysis Access Center include treatments for dialysis access management, such as angioplasty, stenting, fistula salvage, the MILLER procedure for steal syndrome, thrombectomy and thrombolysis. They also provide treatments for peripheral arterial disease, a common but serious condition of the limbs, typically in the legs, where arteries become narrowed or clogged, as well as port placement.
